Recording Equipment Portable MiniDisc Recorders
Advantages:
Lightweight compact field recording & playback.
Almost instant access to tracks.
Long recording time in mono.
Also has repeat, title, date & time stamp functions.
Disadvantages:
No built-in speaker.
If you make recordings using compression it could make them unsuitable for sonagrams. Fairly susceptible to humidity.
Many do not have an adjustable recording level.
Many do not have an alternative alkaline battery compartment - a useful accessory when you can't recharge the supplied battery.
