Systematic section gives keys to the genera and species, with clear descriptions and details of the biology, flight periods, and distribution of all species found in Europe, with distribution maps showing national boundaries.
There are numerous line-drawings throughout the text; over 650 references to the European literature; and an index to English and scientific names including all synonyms and subspecies cited in the text. 308 pages.
