The Land Birds of Southeast Brazil (Volume 3)

Heinz Remold

The Land Birds of Southeast Brazil is solely electronic in nature. Due to the large number of species vocalisations included it has been published on three separate compact discs. These discs are:

Disc 1. Non-passerine species - Tinamous to Toucans The Land Birds of Southeast Brazil (Volume 1)

Disc 2. Species of the order Passeriiforms, sub-order Tyranni (or Sub-oscines) The Land Birds of Southeast Brazil (Volume 2)

Disc 3. Species of the order Passeriiforms, sub-order Passeri (or Oscines).

All the oscine passerines (swallows, wrens, thrushes, jays, warblers, tanagers, troupials, etc.) plus doves, parrots and woodpeckers of the area. A few additional sub-oscine species have also been added including pictures and vocalizations of the as yet undescribed antwren discovered by Louis Fabio Silveira and Dante Buzetti near Sao Paulo airport!

Two hundred and forty species are painted, described and one or more vocalizations are included for every species.

Several enhancements over Disc 2 are incorporated (more and more accessible location information, direct internet references, Internet searches for more info. on a species) and these are also available to Disc 2 users who install Disc 3.
