Garden Bird Sounds

Geoff Sample

Songs and calls of 70 of our most familiar British garden birds. Each species is announced beforehand by English common name and a brief description of the type of sound is given. Indexed by track number.

Very good value for money.

CDs are ideal for birdsong ! The clarity is astounding - much better than MP3 on your phone. The instant access facility allows you to choose a sound from the track index and then repeat it as often as you like. Ideal as an aid to learning bird songs and calls. Most people find it easier to learn one bird at a time, rather than many.

You can also play audio CDs through your computer's DVD-ROM player or your DVD player.

February through to early April is the ideal time to hone your bird-sound skills before all the summer migrants arrive and start singing.

"If you just want to check what's singing at the bottom of your garden then this is probably the place to start. It is a very good basic reference work."
